Establishment of a Music Library

  • Location: Ramallah, Palestine
  • Partner Institution: Edward Said National Conservatory of Music

Recognizing the importance of music in preserving and expressing Palestinian cultural identity, the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation funded the construction of a dedicated hall at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM) in Ramallah, which was later converted into a music library. This initiative strengthens ESNCM’s cultural and educational infrastructure and serves both students and faculty.

Founded in 1993, ESNCM was the first music institute in Palestine established to provide specialized academic music education and promote musical culture within Palestinian society. Today, it serves approximately 2,000 students across its branches throughout Palestine and has become one of the leading music institutions in the Arab world, earning an international reputation for academic excellence and contributions to cultural and community development.

The music library hall serves as an integrated educational and creative space, providing specialized musical resources that support teaching, training, research, and artistic development while offering students and faculty an enriching environment for learning and innovation.
