Amman, Jordan – September 7, 2026 – From the shores of Gaza to the stage of Amman, Sol Band brings its music, memories, and message of resilience to the Orthodox School Theatre on 4 and 6 October 2026, with the support of the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation. The concert is expected to bring together an audience of 470 people for a powerful evening of music and solidarity. A portion of the proceeds will directly support Gaza’s population in collaboration with the Popular Campaign to Support the Resilience of Gaza, Sumoud, and the Jordanian Hashemite Fund.
Sol Band’s music tells the story of Gaza through resilience, everyday life, and the experiences of a people who refuse to be defined solely by their circumstances. Founded in 2012, the group has performed internationally despite the ongoing challenges of war and displacement, transforming personal and collective experiences into a powerful artistic voice. For Sol Band, every stage is an act of cultural resistance and an affirmation of the living spirit of its community.
“From Gaza’s Shores to Amman” is presented by two organizations at the forefront of Palestinian and Arab cultural life. Al Balad Theater, an independent cultural hub in the heart of downtown Amman, has championed independent artists since 2005 and created a home for music, theatre, film, and urban art, guided by the conviction that art is for all. Bint Al Yasmine is a cultural initiative dedicated to celebrating Palestinian heritage and connecting Palestinians across the homeland and the diaspora. It showcases the diverse voices and traditions of a people committed to carrying their culture forward.
The Munib & Angela Masri Foundation’s sponsorship of this concert reflects its belief in the vital role of arts and culture in strengthening Palestinian national identity, preserving collective memory, and sustaining the cultural life of Palestinian communities wherever they may be. It reinforces the Foundation’s conviction that investment in the arts is not peripheral to development; it is central to the dignity and continuity of a people.
