Rehabilitation of Qarawat Basic Mixed School

  • Location: Qarawat Bani Zeid, Palestine
  • Partner Institution: Ministry of Education and Higher Education

In Qarawat Bani Zeid, the local school had long faced serious structural challenges. Cracks in the building, limited classroom space, and unsafe learning conditions made it difficult for students to learn in a secure and supportive environment.

Addressing this urgent need, the Masri Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, supported the construction of a new 660-square-meter building and the rehabilitation of existing facilities. The new structure comprises three floors with classrooms and improved learning spaces on each level, and the project also included the rehabilitation of the 200-square-meter school yard to create a safe and functional outdoor area for recreation and school activities.

The Foundation’s support has enhanced the school’s safety, expanded its capacity, and created a more conducive environment for education. Beyond the physical improvements, the project helps ensure that students in Qarawat Bani Zeid have access to quality education closer to home, and it contributes to reducing disparities between central and rural communities and to advancing sustainable social development through education.
