The Jerusalem Creativity Oasis is considered one of the leading educational initiatives and the first of its kind in Jerusalem, to whose establishment the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation contributed. The complex extends over an area of 5,385 square meters and brings together education, entertainment, and creativity within an integrated interactive environment, with a focus on the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The project aims to provide an environment that encourages research, exploration, and innovation, in a manner that contributes to developing students’ skills and enhancing their abilities in critical thinking and problem-solving. Oasis’s facilities include a science garden containing interactive educational exhibits, an astronomical observatory, laboratories for creativity and fabrication, in addition to an indoor and outdoor theater that allows the organization of diverse cultural and educational activities.
As a non-profit charitable project, the impact of the Jerusalem Creativity Oasis has been clearly reflected in the local community and the educational system in the city of Jerusalem, by providing a comprehensive educational experience based on inquiry- and concept-based learning, which enhances students’ higher-order thinking skills at an early age and encourages them to acquire twenty-first-century skills in a way that links scientific knowledge with innovation and practical application.
