Ramallah, Palestine – 10 March 2026 – The Munib & Angela Masri Foundation participated in Taawon’s Ramadan Iftar in Ramallah. The event was attended by Mr. Munib R. Masri, alongside members of the Foundation team.
The Iftar brought together community leaders, partners, and supporters committed to sustaining education and strengthening Palestinian institutions. The event was held in support of ISNAD, a Taawon initiative focused on sustaining higher education in Gaza and supporting university students whose academic journeys have been severely disrupted.
The ISNAD initiative is tailored for crisis conditions and goes beyond traditional scholarship programs by supporting the entire higher education ecosystem. In addition to assisting students, the initiative helps sustain universities, faculty, and learning infrastructure.
Priority is given to students in their final years of study and to disciplines essential to Gaza’s recovery, including health, engineering, education, and agriculture, as well as digitally adaptable sectors such as coding and digital marketing that enable graduates to work and earn remotely.
This initiative was launched in response to a critical education crisis affecting more than 88,000 students, as over 195 university buildings have sustained significant damage.
Since 2024, the initiative has enabled 5,475 students to continue their university education through direct institutional support, with 1,809 students graduating and entering the job market.
Mr. Munib R. Masri, a founding member of Taawon, Honorary Chairman, and Chairman of its Sustainability Council, reaffirmed his commitment to education as a cornerstone of sustainable development. Through the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation, he contributed financial support to the ISNAD initiative, reinforcing efforts to ensure that students in Gaza can continue their studies despite the challenging circumstances.
Education remains a central focus of the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation’s work across Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon. Through initiatives such as ISNAD, the Foundation supports universities, scholarships, and academic programs that expand access to education and strengthen opportunities for students.
