Al-Quds Academy for Scientific Research (QASR) is a non-profit organization in 2016 under the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade as a partnership between the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation and Al-Quds University.

The academy was proposed by the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation in response to the perceived need for stimulating applied scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arab world, particularly Palestine and Jordan.

Development of human capital in Jordan and Palestine and all over the Arab world is  the cornerstone of our future prosperity and QASR seeks to promote and support innovators, entrepreneurs and researchers with all possible financial resources that can help them create new innovations, spin-offs and startups. QASR aims to create the proper access to infrastructure, tools and knowledge to foster innovation and applied scientific research. 

 In addition, the academy also aims to build both scientific and technological capabilities through facilitating technology and knowledge transfer while building research and innovation networks between researchers in the region.

To prioritize funding for scientific research and innovation, the Academy initiates grant opportunities through the Applied Research and Innovation Fund (ARIF).

Addressing the demand for scientific and technological progress, Al-Quds Academy for Scientific Research adopts and sponsors various capacity-building and training initiatives.

Recognizing the significance of investing in Arab youth scholars and researchers, particularly in fields such as energy, water, land, climate, and the environment, Munib R Masri, founder of the Foundation,has established

The “Advancement of Science Symposium” is a part of the Science Progress Dialogues program, offered by the academy to provide Arab youth with a unique and high-quality educational experience.

The vision of Al-Quds Academy for Scientific Research is to support applied scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship through direct financial and technical support. Our aim is to create new academic societies in Palestine, Jordan and the Arab region which can develop innovations and applications to create growth and development in our region.
Our society faces a number of pressing issues including population growth environmental and energy challenges, natural resources scarcity, as well as the widening gap between rich and poor. New tools, technologies, innovations and initiatives are vital to ease these challenges. At QASR we believe that it is vital for societies to have the ability to meet their own challenges and to develop and create technologies that can help them achieve sustainable development.
Acknowledging the significant impact of technology for the future, Al-Quds Academy for Scientific Research gives high priority to projects that seek to develop the tools of the future to serve the region and contribute to its progress.
