Arab Women Union Society Hosts Munib & Angela Masri Foundation Delegation

The Arab Women Union Society hosted a delegation from the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation at a meeting attended by the Society’s President, Ms. Ohoud Yaish Qanadilo; Board Members Ms. Rana Al-Masri, Ms. Manar Al-Amad, and Eng. Fawz Koubri; and the Society’s Director General, Dr. Izzat Rayyan. Representatives of Ittihad Hospital also attended, including Hospital Director General Dr. Majed Abu Jish and Administrative Director Eng. Talha Mashayekh.

During the meeting, participants discussed the longstanding partnership between the Masri Foundation and the Arab Women Union Society, including the Foundation’s continued support for the Society’s humanitarian and community initiatives. Ms. Qanadilo highlighted the Foundation’s contribution to the development of Ittihad Hospital, one of the Society’s key institutions. She noted that the renovation of the Late Zahia Hanoun Children’s Wing in 2001 marked an important milestone in enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided by the hospital.

The Children’s Wing spans approximately 300 square meters and includes seven fully equipped patient rooms, along with nursing administration offices and supporting facilities. The department receives around 350 cases per month, reflecting community trust and the hospital’s role in delivering healthcare services to women and children.

The visit included a tour of several hospital departments, during which participants reviewed current development needs and discussed opportunities for continued cooperation.

The meeting concluded with the Society’s President presenting Mr. Munib R. Masri with a commemorative shield in recognition of the Foundation’s contributions and continued support for the Society and its institutions.
