At a ceremony on Tuesday 15th March, Munib R Masri, Chairman of Edgo, signed an agreement with the Doha-based Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Humanitarian Funds (Ensany) to establish the Qudsona Endowment Foundation and cooperate on humanitarian and development projects in Jerusalem.
The 5th ASHRAE International conference on Efficient Building Design at the American University of Beirut (AUB) was opened today by Omar Masri, on behalf of the Munib and Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources.
The two-day conference, which will take an in-depth look into material and HVAC equipment technologies, also saw opening speeches from Dr Fadlo Khuri, president of the AUB, Dr Ahmad Alaa Eldin Mohammed, representing ASHRAE, Mr Zaki Zaatari, president of the Ashrae Chapter and Dr Alan Shihadeh, dean of the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at AUB.
Omar M Masri, chairman of the Al Quds Academy (QASR) board of directors was hosted by the President of the German Jordanian University, Professor Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli on a visit to the university to learn more about the progress of a project funded by QASR.
In an effort to strengthen cooperation and support for the Al-Quds Fund and Endowment, a delegation from the fund visited Kuwait and held a series of high-level meetings. The delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Munib R. Masri, Dr. Hiba Ahmed, Director General of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development of the Islamic Development Bank, as well as Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, Mr. Omar Masri, Mr. Taher Al-Disi and Mr. Muhammedin Weld Umah.

This fall, Kameel Kishek is making the long trip from Jordan to The University of Texas at Austin to enter the Energy and Earth Resources (EER) Program. He was drawn by the university’s global reputation and the interdisciplinary nature of the Jackson School of Geosciences EER master’s program, a combination that dovetails perfectly with his desire for a career in energy and sustainability fields.
