How we work
Discover our process

The Munib & Angela Masri Foundation works with individuals, partners, and institutions to create lasting impact grounded in clarity, accountability, and shared purpose. Guided by four core pillars: education, health, community development, and arts and culture, we support programs that respond to genuine needs, expand opportunities, and strengthen the social and economic fabric of society. Whether through community-led initiatives or long-term partnerships, all of our work contributes to sustainable development and advances our shared vision of dignity, equity, and resilience.
Priorities are established through dialogue and research with local stakeholders, academics, and subject experts. The vision and values of the individuals we work with guide our decision-making. Transparent criteria and rigorous due diligence, including Know Your Beneficiary (KYB) and feasibility assessments, ensure that every intervention meets the highest ethical and professional standards and delivers tangible, sustainable outcomes.
Our approach is organized around two interlinked frameworks that guide both design and evaluation:
1- The Intervention Framework
This framework defines how support is provided and classifies interventions across three levels:
- Meeting Basic Needs: Sustaining dignity and short-term well-being through essential services and relief.
- Building Enabling Environments: Strengthening infrastructure, access, and systems that create opportunity and stability.
- Empowering People: Promoting leadership, innovation, and expression that enable individuals and groups to thrive.
2- The Impact Framework
This framework helps monitor and understand the results of each intervention, assessing the depth and sustainability of change across three levels:
- Short-Term Relief: Addressing urgent needs and restoring stability.
- Institutional Strengthening: Building capacity, resilience, and local ownership.
- Long-Term Empowerment: Enabling transformation and enduring fulfillment within communities.
Together, these frameworks allow the Foundation and its partners to align intention with impact, measure the sustainability of change, and communicate value with transparency. Above all, they reflect our belief that meaningful progress is a shared journey built on collaboration, trust, and the conviction that lasting change begins within communities themselves.
