Upon the establishment of the Yasser Arafat Foundation in 2007, the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation was among its main supporters through the support it provided to the Yasser Arafat Endowment, whose establishment coincided with the establishment of the Yasser Arafat Foundation. 

This support came to contribute to strengthening the presence of the Foundation and its role as an umbrella working to preserve the history of the late President Yasser Arafat and to deliver projects with long-term community impact. Mr. Munib R. Masri also serves as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, as a continuation of his commitment to this national path.

The endowment today contributes to the development of an integrated system concerned with preserving the national biography of the late president, through the management and development of the Yasser Arafat Museum, the care of his mausoleum and its facilities, and the organization of annual events that reflect the symbolism of the occasion in Palestinian consciousness. The Foundation also supports academic, humanitarian, and social programs targeting different segments of society, and works to strengthen unity and communication among Palestinians in all places of their presence through preserving the shared national heritage.

Among the central initiatives embraced by the endowment is the Yasser Arafat Award for Achievement, which aims to encourage creativity and excellence across various fields, including scientific research, innovation, and community work, to graduate inspiring models that contribute to building the future.

Through this community investment, the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation is supporting Palestinian institutions and strengthening projects that preserve the national memory, serve the present, and inspire future generations.
