During the holy month of Ramadan, the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation carried out two charitable initiatives aimed at supporting the resilience of vulnerable and underprivileged families, while strengthening the spirit of solidarity and community cooperation throughout the month.
The first initiative included the distribution of 350 food vouchers to underprivileged families, enabling them to meet essential needs. These efforts aim to ease living burdens and support families in meeting their needs with dignity.
The second initiative during this period included the organization of a charitable Ramadan Iftar in partnership with the Mabarret Al-Khair Charitable Kitchen, operated by The Social Charitable Center Society (SCCS) in the Old City of Nablus. Members of the Foundation’s team, joined by its Founder, Mr. Munib R. Masri, actively participated in preparing Iftar meals at the kitchen in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility. A total of 1,250 Iftar meals were sponsored and prepared by the Foundation for vulnerable and underprivileged families, ensuring that support reached those most in need within the community.
In this context, Adnan Odeh, Projects Manager at The Social Charitable Center Society (SCCS), expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s support, noting that this initiative forms part of an ongoing partnership and continued collaboration to support vulnerable communities. He also commended the Foundation’s strong sense of social responsibility and its continued support for the Society’s programs and humanitarian initiatives.
The Social Charitable Center Society (SCCS) is a non-profit organization established in 1978 in the Old City of Nablus, where some of the most vulnerable communities reside. Through its programs, the Society supports marginalized groups, including women, children, the elderly, and individuals who are ill or unable to care for themselves. It also works continuously to coordinate and unify efforts to support and empower Palestinian families, recognizing them as the foundation for sustainable human development.
These efforts by the Foundation aim to ease living burdens and support families in meeting their needs with dignity, while encouraging a culture of contribution within the community.
